Delete your Podoyo account

You can delete your Podoyo account and the data held about you from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you cannot sign in, email us and we will do it for you.

Steps

1. Open Podoyo and sign in.
2. Tap the account icon at the top of the home screen.
3. Scroll to the bottom, tap “Delete account,” and confirm.

What is deleted

Everything: the account and sign-in details, your requests and preferences, schedules, your program history and any audio still stored, playback positions, push tokens, minute counters, and purchase records. Usage analytics, which carry no name or email, are deleted from our analytics provider on request.

We keep nothing else after deletion, with two exceptions. First, we keep what tax law requires us to keep about a purchase. Second, we keep a one-way hash of your email address together with the talk minutes used in the current month, for up to two months, so that deleting an account and signing up again cannot reset the free monthly allowance. The hash cannot be turned back into your address, and we use it for nothing else. A program someone else added to their library from a link you shared is not deleted either: their copy is theirs and stays with them. An active subscription is canceled through the App Store or Google Play, not by deleting the account.
